Two suspects, Kyle Covington, 36, and Tammy Dunfee, 46, both from Colorado, have been arrested after fleeing from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle following shoplifting incidents at Running’s and Tractor Supply in Watertown on October 17.
Covington faces multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle and drug-related offenses, while Dunfee is charged with similar offenses.
After fleeing on foot when their vehicle was stopped, Covington was found at St. Mary’s Cemetery after a 90-minute search, where he was assisted down from a building by fire rescue.
Both suspects are currently held at the Codington County Detention Center.
