Mitchell Neighborhood Watch: Vandals have struck several neighborhood parks again this year, doing damage to restrooms in both Pioneer Park and Dry Run Creek, in addition to the concessions stand at the aquatic center in Hitchcock Park.
Quite obviously, when amenities are damaged, they may not be usable. This was the case at Pioneer Park and Dry Run the past few weeks. When damage such as this happens, we’ll aim repair and re-open as replacement equipment and staffing allow. However, we’re hoping such incidents can be averted with the aid of residents, who are asked to report to law enforcement any suspicious behavior (in parks) when they see it.
