With Back to School Comes Cyber Risks

School is beginning for many districts this week. Some districts got a jump start toward the end of last week.

The Better Business Bureau has been advising parents and students all month about being safe when going back to school but the educational institutions themselves need to do their diligence.

Jessie Schmidt with the B-B-B says caution should also be taken with file sharing sites.

And while convenient for getting last minute lunch money to your son or daughter, money sharing apps can also lead to trouble.

Schmidt also suggests shutting off location services and using parental controls to keep your location information away from possible bad actors.
