Woman Publicly Executed in Western South Dakota, Suspect Orchestrated Killing

Esther Wolfe, a 25-year-old woman, was publicly executed in Pennington County, according to a release from the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Ezekiel Mayweather was arrested for her murder this past Wednesday, February 21, with new evidence revealing his extensive involvement.

The investigation showed that Mayweather orchestrated Wolfe’s killing, provided the gun, and directed the shooter.

The motive stems from the 2019 death of Mayweather’s brother, Michael, which some of his family believe Wolfe was responsible for.

No arrest has been made for the actual shooting, but Mayweather faces a charge of aiding and abetting first-degree murder, which could potentially lead to a life sentence or capital punishment.
