The South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development Board of Economic Development has approved funding for projects that will contribute an estimated $494,990 in capital expenditures and create 2 full-time jobs across the state.
“South Dakota is Open for Opportunity, and today’s approvals show our commitment to building strong communities,” said Governor Larry Rhoden. “We are supporting manufacturers and investing in workforce training that keeps South Dakota competitive for the future.”
AKG North American Operations, Inc. in Mitchell was approved for $10,395 in SD Jobs Program funding to purchase and install equipment that will add jobs, enhance production capabilities, and diversify their product offerings.
An Economic Development Partnership Program grant of $985 to attend economic development training was awarded to the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance.
