South Dakota authorities have released the name of a man from Belle Fourche who died in a single vehicle crash last Saturday night southwest of Platte.
Preliminary crash information indicates around 11:25 pm, 21 year old Dagan Jerik Burns was driving a GMC Sierra southbound on SD Highway 1804 when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch off the right shoulder. The vehicle hit an approach, went airborne and flipped onto its roof. Burns was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
