A 50 year old man from Brunswick, NE died in a single vehicle crash Friday afternoon, one mile southeast of Avon, SD.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported around 3:25 pm, the driver of a Chevy Cobalt was traveling northbound on 407th Avenue near 303rd Street. He apparently lost control of the vehicle, entered the east ditch and rolled, coming to rest in a field. The driver was partially ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The driver’s name has not been released pending notification of family members.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
