The 227 strong Mitchell High School Class of 2025 crossed the stage Sunday at the Corn Palace to start the next chapter in their lives.
Principal Justin Siemsen says the class was extremely active in both academics and activities. “They all offer a lots of varying levels of participation and a lot of different things and they’re all extremely proud of those things and they’re all going to do great things in the world beyond high school,” said Siemsen. “We’re all looking forward to seeing how all that shakes out.”
100 class members earned either honors or high-honors which is 44-percent of the graduates.
This is also the final graduating class of the current high school building. “It’s bittersweet to some degree because people like nostalgia and there’s been a lot of classes that have come through this old building,” Siemsen said. “But with the old and with the new as they say, and we’re excited for all of the opportunities that the new building is going to afford us.”
Moving into some of the new classrooms is set to start on Friday.
