The Corn Palace is reaching out north of the border. Corn Palace Director Doug Greenway says the iconic landmark was featured in a presentation to travel agents across Canada. “The focus was ag through tourism so they felt the Corn Palace was a good fit,” said Greenway. “We were thrilled to take about fifteen minutes to be live on a Zoom call. And I was able to introduce myself and the Corn Palace and then we walked through the building, kind of like we would on a tour.”
He says Travel South Dakota selected Corn Palace and a west river attraction to strut their stuff to Canada. “It was an opportunity for me to explain and invite all the Canadians that take tours, to Mitchell, South Dakota next year or in the future”. Greenway said.
Greenway says he got good feedback from those who were watching.
