Corsica celebrates an economic boost

Governor Larry Rhoden helped the community of Corsica celebrate the opening of the Southwest Business Park Wednesday afternoon. “Extremely heartening for me as Governor of the state to see this kind growth because that builds our entire state,” said Rhoden. “Rising tide raises all ships and these small communities are the heartbeat of our state.”

Corsica Development Corporation president Luke Bamberg says the goal is to increase sales tax revenue for the city of Corsica. “Just tried to put some heads together and find a good spot for it,” Bamberg said. “It obviously ended up fitting in perfect for our city of Corsica.”

Bazen Woodworking, LLC is the new development’s first business and recently broke ground on a 7,000 square foot expansion from their current facility.
