D.W.U. set to celebrate Entrepreneurship Week

The Kelley Center for Entrepreneurship at Dakota Wesleyan University is celebrating Entrepreneurship Week Nov. 11-15 with some special events.

DWU Associate Communications Director Julie Brookbank says the public is invited to an open house on Friday, Nov. 15, from 1-3 p.m. in the Pratt Alumni Board Room located in the School of Business, Innovation and Leadership.

“It’ll be a chance for community members to come in and see the space where our students do their learning and their projects and their work,” said Brookbank. “We’re going to have a couple of special guests: Mitchell’s Mayor Jordan Hanson who, himself is an entrepreneur…and Dakota Wesleyan President Dan Kittle will also offer some remarks,” she said.

Other activities during the week include special classroom activities for students in business related programs; a “Bring Your Entrepreneur to School Day,” to encourage students to bring family members or friends who are entrepreneurs to a class to share their experiences; and guest speakers.
