Davison County Commissioners have approved the 2024 budget. The total spending plan is $11.9-million dollars.
Of that total County Road and Bridge accounts for $4.46-million dollars followed by Public Safety with $4.19-million dollars.
Chairman Randy Reider said the new budget had to come backwards and retract. “That’s just evidenced by money that we didn’t have from the federal government’s programs that we were able to take advantage of,” said Reider. “And do a lot to our buildings and our roads.”
The net total tax income portion of the budget is just over $8.3-million dollars with the remainder from License and permits, intergovernmental revenue, charges for goods and services, fines and forfeits and miscellaneous revenue.
