After weeks of meeting and tweaking, Davison County Commissioners approved the 2025 county budget. The overall spending plan is around $17.1-million dollars.
Total general government spending is around $5-million dollars, followed by Public Safety at just over $4.2-million dollars and Highway Roads and Bridges at $4.2-million dollars account for the major spending.
In other business, Commissioners awarded bids on a turning lane project tied to the soybean processing plant and a bridge replacement, approved employee status changes and a timeclock update.
The group approved an additional prison transport funding request by Sheriff Steve Harr for transporting probation violators from Indiana back to Mitchell.
Commissioners also met in executive session for personnel issues with Jail Administrator Grant Lanning.
