Davison County Commissioners have named a new County Treasurer.
Chairman Randy Reider says the group interviewed four strong candidates. “And we made an offer to Tonya Ford, who works in the Treasurer’s Office,” Reider said. “The deputy one there, so that’s the top deputy.”
Current treasurer David Beintema submitted his resignation letter on June 30th. Reider says his last day is July 25th. “He served well, we’re sorry to see him go…we wish him the best of luck,” said Reider.
Beintema was appointed county treasurer in 2018.
Reider says commissioners have already extended an offer to one of the four candidates to serve in Ford’s role as first-deputy treasurer and are awaiting a reply.
