Community Health Nurse Jenna Auch presented a summary of the services her office is providing during Tuesday’s Davison County Commission meeting.
For example, her office plays a critical role with immunizations. “We can not only offer immunizations at our office, but we also do pull reports,” said Auch. “Kind of quarterly is usually what we aim for sometimes, depending on time frame, we’ll do every two months.” Plus send missing immunization reminders to the kids they serve as a clinic as well.
“So that way, you know, sometimes it slips our mind as parents that our kids are even due for immunizations, or they don’t realize they’re due at 11 again for vaccines because they thought they were done with all of that,” Auch said.
Plus school immunization audits, assuring all students are up to date and hosting the Mitchell Area Free Influenza POD.
The Office also provides pregnancy care, infant child health and NARCAN opioid overdose medicine.
The Community Health office is located in the North Offices building at 1420 North Main Street.
