Davison County registers its fourth COVID-19 case

Davison County has its fourth COVID-19 case. The South Dakota Health Department reported it Tuesday but says it doesn’t reveal the gender or age range of the person as a matter of privacy on the county level. Three previous COVID-19 cases in the county have recovered and 248 have tested negative.

Meanwhile an eighth person has died as a result of the COVID-19 virus. The South Dakota Health Department says the deceased is from Minnehaha County raising the total number of deaths in that county to four.

Statewide 1,755 people have been infected with the COVID-19 virus, 824 recovered, 100 total hospitalizations and 8 deaths and 11,060 negative tests.

Minnehaha County has the most cases with 1,469 and 619 recovered.
