There are currently four candidates seeking the Republican nomination for Governor in the June primary election.
District 20 Republican State Representative Kaley Nolz has made her choice. “I have actually already given my endorsement to John Hansen,” Nolz said. “I voted for him for the Speaker of the House. I think he’s done a fantastic job.” Nolz added “He believes in a lot of the things that I believe in, and I think we vote similarly in the House of Representatives.”

Republican Senator Paul Miskimins has an eye on one candidate. “But at this point, I’d rather let the people hear all that they have to say and make their own decision,” said Miskimins. “I’m carrying a petition for one individual to be our next governor, but I’m not willing to divulge that publicly.”

The four announced GOP candidates for governor are Congressman Dusty Johnson, Representative Jon Hansen, Governor Larry Rhoden and businessman Toby Doeden.
