The South Dakota Department of Corrections is reporting an inmate at the Mike Durfee State Prison at Springfield has died. The DOC says 57 year old Joaquin Ramos died March 22nd in the comfort care setting at the prison. At the time of his death Ramos was serving a 150 year sentence for first-degree manslaughter from Pennington County.
