The Drop and Go system will help eliminate move-in day congestion and will spread out the amount of people moving in their belongings at one time by allowing students to come to campus early and deliver the bulk of their belongings to their room, and then return home until their respective move-in times in August. Students can begin dropping off their belongings any time between Wednesday, July 15 and Friday, Aug. 7.
“We are extremely excited to have our students back on campus for the fall semester. We will be modifying both orientation and our move in-process to ensure a fun, but safe environment for all,” said John Kippes, director of student life.
Drop and Go can be scheduled Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Students will be allotted 60 to 90 minutes for drop-off.
Students can request a Drop and Go move-in date by emailing Dustin Wheeler, director of residence life, at [email protected]
DWU will limit daily “Drop and Go” registrations based on dorm capacity.
DWU will resume face-to-face classes for the fall semester beginning Monday, Aug. 24 with a modestly revised academic calendar.
The university will conclude on-campus, face-to-face classes at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20. Classes will continue after this date in an online environment for the remainder of the semester, with the last day of final exams on Dec. 16, 2020.
