ETRIA hosted a special guest Tuesday. Masashi Mizobuchi is Consul-General of Japan in Chicago. “I hope my visit will serve an opportunity to build a relationship that will facilitate Japanese trade and investment with this great state,” said Mizobuchi.
He says Japan is the third largest market for South Dakota pork. “We import pork and beef, lots of pork and beef from the Midwest, other states too,” he said. “So there is more room for us to import South Dakota pork and beef.”
Mizobuchi is looking forward to attending the Midwest Agricultural Export Summit Wednesday in Sioux Falls.
