A 31-year-old man died in a single vehicle motorcycle crash early Saturday morning in Huron.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported the driver of a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Westpark Avenue around 3:35 AM and left the roadway, entering the east ditch. The driver was separated from the motorcycle. The motorcycle caught on fire. The driver died from injuries sustained in the crash. He was wearing a helmet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.
