A 68-year-old man died in a single vehicle motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon two miles south of Deadwood, SD.
The name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2001 Harley Davidson FLHT was traveling north on US 385 near mile marker 120 shortly after noon. The driver failed to negotiate the curve and went off the road to the right. The vehicle tripped and rolled, separating the driver from the motorcycle. The driver passed away from his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
