The South Dakota Department of Public Safety is reporting a 72 year old man from Harrold died Saturday in a two-vehicle crash near Cresbard.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a Ford Edge Titanium SUV was traveling southbound on SD 45. At the same time, a 16 year old male driver from Faulkton was traveling westbound in a Ford F-350 Super Duty as he approached the SD 45 and 155th Street intersection. The Edge collided with the F-350 as the pickup truck entered the intersection.
The woman driving the Edge was taken to a Faulkton hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her passenger sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the F-350 sustained minor injuries.
Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
The investigation is ongoing.
