A major fire destroyed a popular business in downtown Dell Rapids Thursday morning.
The Pinz Bowling alley and restaurant went up in flames early this morning.
Julia Kaye called it heartbreaking. “Pinz Bowling Alley down on Main Street, heart of Del Rapids and such a such an important business to this town,” said Kaye. “The owner, he’s a huge mentor to the youth in this town and always doing things to just help out the community and this is just a heartbreaking sight.”
Casey McCoy purchased the business in 2022.
It appears fire crews were able to prevent the blaze from spreading to other buildings. The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
