First Community Access Resource Expo highlights services available in Mitchell

Numerous businesses, non-profit and community service organizations gathered at the Corn Palace for the first-ever Community Access Resources Expo. The event highlighted services available in the Mitchell community.

Geri Beck represented Mitchell Area Housing Incorporated. “I was able to talk about rehab money that we have for housing,” said Beck. “It’s a celebration of everything we have going on in Mitchell, and it’s for everybody.”

Lana Loken is with the Davison County Coalition for Suicide and Mental Health Awareness and Prevention. “Just to get the word out of the different mental health resources we have available throughout this part of the state,” Loken said. “So that people have access to those resources when they need them.”

The free family event, sponsored by the Mitchell Area Inclusion Coalition, also featured kids activities and free food.
