A 60 year old woman from Sioux Falls died late Friday afternoon in a single vehicle crash seven miles east of Alexandria on I-90.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported around 5:36 pm the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling eastbound near mile marker 351 when she lost control of the vehicle and entered the south ditch. The vehicle rolled several times, ejecting the driver. The woman died at the scene. She was not using a seat belt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The name of the person involved is being withheld pending notification of family members.
