Despite Saturday’s snow event, Mitchell’s annual Christmas Shopping for Kids drew plenty of young shoppers. “32 years, what a history for our community,” said Liz Luczak, executive director of Mitchell Main Street and Beyond. “Very excited for new memories being made out here at the Masonic Hall today.”
Eleven local vendors set up shop this year. “These vendors mark everything $15 and under,” Luczak said. “It’s just the good of the heart to make this possible. Everyone steps up.”

Some of whom have participated all 32 years of Christmas Shopping for kids. Each youngster had a volunteer escort to assist them with their Christmas shopping experience all the way from gift selection, to purchase to the complimentary gift wrapping.
