An 81 year old man from Burke died in a single vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon,11 miles east of Parkston.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported around 12:30, the driver of a Ford Econoline 350 was traveling westbound on SD Highway 44 when the vehicle left the roadway, vaulted over a field approach and rolled. The male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.
