A sandbag station is set up at the city street department for anyone wanting to make sandbags. The public is welcome to make their own sandbags for their use.
The city of Mitchell has issued a “no wake” zone on Lake Mitchell until further notice.
The city of Mitchell is allowing residents to bring materials from the June 21st storm to the City Landfill from today through next Saturday, June 29th, during normal operating hours. Materials damaged from the storm event will be accepted at no charge.
