A report of an individual in crisis at a local motel is over. According to the Mitchell Police Department, officers responded to 1313 South Ohlman on Monday. Law Enforcement attempted to contact the individual who barricaded themself in their motel room. Officers remained on scene throughout the night to ensure no threat to the public. At approximately 8:50 Tuesday morning, Law enforcement left the area after determining there appeared to be no immediate threat to the public. Assisting in this matter were officers from the Davison County Sheriffs’ Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, Hanson County Sheriff’s Office, Sanborn County Sheriffs’ and Mitchell EMS and the Mitchell Police Department.
