James Valley Drug and DUI court set to celebrate another graduation

As part of National Treatment Court Month, graduation ceremonies will be held to celebrate those completing drug and DUI court in Mitchell and Yankton.

James Valley Drug & DUI Court will host a graduation ceremony on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the courtroom at the Davison County Public Safety Building in Mitchell.

Yankton County Drug & DUI Court will hold a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 11th.

Participants who have successfully completed all phases of these treatment court programs will be honored. The events are open to the public, and a reception will follow both graduation ceremonies.

Treatment Court Month is a nationwide celebration of lifesaving treatment courts led by All Rise, the training, membership and advocacy organization for justice system innovation addressing substance use and mental health at every intercept point. James Valley Drug & DUI Court and Yankton County Drug & DUI Court are joining more than 4,000 treatment courts across the county to celebrate leading people out of the justice system and into long-term recovery.
