Kaley Nolz nominated to District 20 Republican House Vacancy

By a vote of 35-15, District 20 Republicans have nominated Kaley Nolz of rural Mitchell to replace State Representative Ben Krohmer on the November ballot. Krohmer recently withdrew from the race due to a family member’s medical concern.

Mitchell Area Development Corporation CEO Mike Lauritsen was also seeking the nomination but fell short.

Nolz reached out to Krohmer and decided she might be interested in seeking the seat.

“I will say with every vote, I’m going to do my research and my do diligence before I cast a vote,” said Nolz. “I don’t make rash decisions.

Nolz joins Senate candidate Paul Miskimins and House candidate Jeff Bathke in essence winning the election unopposed as three Democratic candidates dropped out of the District 20 legislative race earlier.
