Sioux Falls – Mitchell Kernels Boys Golf placed 10th out of 15 teams at day one of the Warrior-Lynx Invite on Monday at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls.
Mitchell shot a 342 (+62) as a team, led by Macon Larson’s 82 (+12). Larson finished the day with 10 pars, including the final five holes. He is currently tied for 28th out of 89 individuals.
Jackson Childs shot an 85 (+15) with a pair of birdies on the par four 2nd and 15th holes.
The Kernels will start day two, seven shots behind 8th place Brandon Valley and Spearfish.
Sioux Falls Lincoln (+19) holds a one shot lead over O’Gorman (+20) and are nine shots better than third place Watertown (+28).
Jake Olson of Lincoln and Bennett Geraets of Watertown are the top individuals at +1 (71).
