Mitchell School District voters have spoken. Kimberly Lofgren and Terry Aslesen were elected to the Mitchell School Board Tuesday.
Lofgren was the top vote-getter with 527 votes followed by Aslesen with 512 votes and Olson with 498 votes. A recount is possible.
Voter turnout was 6- percent. There were 825 total votes cast, 195 were absentee. The official canvass of the results is set for the next Mitchell School Board meeting on Monday, June 9th. Aslesen and Lofgren will officially take office during the first Mitchell School Board meeting in July.
Lofgren is the CFO of the Mitchell Area Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce. Aslesen, who is finishing his first term on the board, is a retired educator and administrator. Olson, who’s completing her fourth term on the board, is a retired educator and administrator.
