KORN News Radio recognized for excellence

For the third straight year, KORN News Radio has captured the First-Place Eric Sevareid Award for best small market radio newscast in a six-state region. The Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association announced the honor Saturday. The station also earned a Sevareid Award of Merit in the General Reporting category.

News Director J.P. Skelly says it means a lot. “KORN News Radio’s goal is to present news and information that’s relevant and useful to our listeners,” said Skelly. “The Eric Sevareid award reflects our team’s commitment and dedication to excellence.”

Each year, the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association presents the Eric Sevareid awards for the best work done by broadcast news operations and journalists working in small, medium and large markets in South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin on radio, television and online.

This is the 20th consecutive year KORN News Radio has earned the MBJA sponsored award.
