The South Dakota Department of Public Safety is reporting a 65 year old man from Spearfish died in a single vehicle crash Saturday evening near exit 10 on Interstate 90.
At approximately 8:05 pm, the driver of a Toyota Highlander was traveling west on I-90 and took Exit 10 to the intersection with US 85. The driver continued westbound across US 85, entering the west ditch, vaulted a fence, then went into a ditch where the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof. The driver was ejected.
He was transported to Spearfish Monument Health where he was pronounced deceased.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.
