Mitchell Police issued two citations to the driver of a semi-truck which apparently knocked over the traffic signal/street light on the northeast corner of First and Main Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred around one p-m when Kimberlena Hunnewell of Avon apparently tried to turn north onto Main Street from the westbound lane of East First Avenue and struck the pole.
Police caught up with the semi just north of the intersection of North Main and the Highway 37 Bypass.
Officer Pat Marler says Hunnewell was cited for lane driving and leaving the scene of an accident
