The Mitchell Area Development Corporation has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the South Dakota Community Foundation’s “Beyond Idea Grant.”
MADC CEO Mike Lauritsen says it’s targeting a childcare services shortage in the community….
And decided to offer existing facilities and start-ups cash incentives….
Lauritsen says the remaining $50,000 would go toward employee retention….
The South Dakota Community Foundation has awarded $3.6-million dollars from the “BIG” program since 2022.
