The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has released the name of a man from Summerset who died in a single motorcycle crash last Wednesday in Meade County.
Crash information indicates around 7 am, 44 year old Francis Michael Bierman was driving a Triumph motorcycle westbound on Erickson Ranch Road near the Escape Lane intersection. Bierman laid the motorcycle down after the curve, left the roadway and became separated from his motorcycle. He sustained fatal injuries and was wearing a helmet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
