A man from Webster died and his passenger was injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash early Thursday morning, five miles east of Fedora.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported around 2am, 53 year old Ryan Glen Shepherd, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on SD Highway 34 and went into the south ditch. He died at the scene and a passenger, 25 year old Sean Vincent Shepherd, also from Webster, sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation of the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
