Mitchell area Legislators applaud passage of HB 1001

The South Dakota House voted to make last year’s three-tenths percent state sales tax reduction permanent. The vote was 54-12.

State Representative Lance Koth of Mitchell voted “yes”…..

 

Representative Ben Krohmer of Mitchell also voted “green”….

 

The Bill now goes to the Senate where Senator Josh Klumb of Mitchell favors the measure….

 

The Senate last year insisted on the sunset clause before finally approving the tax reduction from 4.5% to the current 4.2%.
