The Mitchell Area United Way is closing in on its campaign goal of $515,000. Campaign Chair Jared Hofer says there’s about $45,000 to go. “We’re making good progress, it’s been a fun campaign season to get out and meet some of the agencies,” said Hofer. “And it’s neat for me as a campaign chair to be able to see that side of them.”

He says the Mitchell Area United Way has been serving the community for 65 years. “We feel that we want to continue to grow, and we want to continue to serve not just Mitchell but the surrounding areas,” he said.
The Mitchell Area United Way serves 31 local partner agencies and programs meeting critical needs such as health, education and financial stability. All donated dollars stay local.
