Mayors and City Administrators representing South Dakota’s first-class municipalities met with Governor Kristi Noem and Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg Wednesday in Fort Pierre.
Mayor Bob Everson and City Administrator Stephanie Ellwein represented Mitchell. “The things that I was excited to hear about was they are taking a strong position with economic development and how they think technology can play a part in that for the state and municipalities,” said Ellwein.
She says the Governor cast a vision for the future. “What do we do to make sure that our state, our communities are somewhere where the next generation is going to want to choose to be,” Ellwein said.
The South Dakota Municipal League hosted the informal get together at their offices across the river from the State Capitol.
