Mitchell Police have arrested a person following an apparent aggravated assault with a firearm. Lieutenant Don Everson says police received a 911 call around 5:11 Sunday morning. The caller reported someone driving a red pick up drove by the caller’s vehicle and fired several shots while they were sitting in the vehicle. The incident apparently occurred in the area of West Fourth Avenue and Iowa Street. It appears no one was struck by any of the shots fired and no property was damaged.
Everson says felony charges are pending and he expects to release more information later today.
