Mitchell service clubs recognize Dakota Wesleyan University for its commitment to serving the community

During Monday’s annual Mitchell Service Club Christmas luncheon, the Exchange, Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary and Optimist clubs recognized Dakota Wesleyan University’s contribution to the community.

Terry Aslesen of the Mitchell Exchange Club presented the proclamation. “The service clubs of Mitchell, South Dakota commend Dakota Wesleyan University for its service to others, its promotion of service to others…and for its support of service organizations,” Aslesen said.

“A lot of communities don’t have that positive…relationship that we have because we care for it and attend to it,” said Kittle. “Having the proclamation is just evidence of the connectiveness and the importance of that relationship.”

The annual gathering raised $6,000 for the Mitchell Salvation Army.
