Mitchell Technical College 2025 commencement

Mitchell Technical College’s class of 2025 is on its way.

Katelyn Scherff of Trent, South Dakota delivered a commencement address during the first of three graduation ceremonies. “You do not have to have it all figured out,” Scherff said. “Just like you’re a different version of yourself to everyone you meet, you’ll be a different version of yourself at every stage of life.” She continued, “Careers will shift, passions will evolve, and the path ahead might change in ways you cannot see yet. And that’s okay. You do not need to know all the answers right now.”

For MTC president Theresa Kriese, the day marked a job well-done. “Most of these students are going out of here with employment already secured and moving on,” Kriese said. “We’ve given them the skills to do that great work out there and improve our communities and in the workforce.”

This year’s class consisted of 533 students, most receiving Associated of Applied Science degrees in a variety of disciplines.
