A woman from Reliance, South Dakota woman died Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash near Lyman.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported 63 year old Gayle V. Mohr was driving a 1998 Suzuki mini truck southbound on 324th Avenue. At the same time, 57 year old Collin James Hoffer from Reliance was driving a 2006 Freightliner semi-truck westbound on S.D. Highway 248. Mohr entered the intersection without stopping and collided with the Freightliner. She was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Hoffer was taken to a Chamberlain hospital with minor injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation.
