A 47-year-old man from Wisconsin died just before 4pm Monday in a single vehicle UTV crash six miles northeast of Piedmont, SD.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported preliminary crash information indicates 47 year old Aaron M. Sibilsky, the driver of a 2020 Tracker XTR1000 UTV was traveling north on Ricard Road about three miles south of Tilford Road. The Tracker failed to negotiate a turn, left the roadway and struck a fence in the ditch that was part of a cattle guard in the road. The Tracker tripped and overturned. Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle. Sibilsky died from his injuries at the scene. The passenger, 46 year old Nichole M. Behrent, also from Wisconsin, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life- threatening injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
