Nebraska woman arrested following an apparent case of road rage

An apparent case of road rage has landed a Nebraska woman in jail. According to court documents 37 year old Jennifer Stacy of Valentine was apparently upset the vehicle behind her was following her too closely at the  I-90 332 exit ramp at Mitchell around noon Sunday. She told police she felt threatened as the vehicle inched closer as she moved forward.

Stacy admitted to showing a .45 caliber handgun in her vehicle to the victim following behind to try and get him to back off. When the male victim attempted to pass her, he told Police Stacy pointed the gun at him and he was afraid she was going to shoot him.

Police recovered the gun in a holster in Stacy’s vehicle. There was a magazine in the gun but no round in the chamber. No one was hurt.

Stacy is charged with aggravated assault. Bond is set at $2,000 cash and she have no contact with the victim.

Aggravated assault is punishable by up to 15 years in prison and or a $30,000 fine.
