New Mitchell City Council members sworn-in for three year terms

Three new members officially joined the Mitchell City Council during Monday’s meeting. Mayor Jordan Hanson administered the oath of office to Jason Greenway, Shaun Davis and Ken Schlimgen. Councilor Tim Goldammer also took his oath as he began his second three-year term.

The Council then re-elected Kevin McCardle Council president and Goldammer as Council vice-president.

In other business, the group approved the consent agenda and acted as the board of adjustment as well as approved a Property Cleanup Incentive Program, approved several alcohol license requests, agreed to dissolve TIF District 8 plus listened to a presentation on Ex Parte Communications and Conflicts of Interest from City attorney Justin Johnson.

The meeting wrapped up with an executive session for legal issues.
